Mission Focus vs. Open Access
- Mission focus: Go Black Own exists to expand visibility, growth, and ownership for Black-owned businesses. Many features, playbooks, and resources are designed with this community in mind.
- Open access: Any business or organization may use GoBlackly OS (our business operating system) and other general services if they agree to our terms, community guidelines, and lawful use requirements.
- Program-specific eligibility: Certain mission-aligned programs—such as curated directories, special campaigns, or ad placements—may be reserved for, or prioritized toward, Black-owned businesses to advance our founding purpose. These programs are transparently labeled, optional, and do not prevent any client from using our core platform.
Content & Conduct Standards
We prohibit content or conduct that is unlawful, harassing, hateful, defamatory, fraudulent, exploitative, or that incites violence or discrimination. This includes slurs, threats, doxxing, or attempts to target individuals or groups. We apply our standards consistently and will remove content, suspend features, or terminate access when warranted.
Fairness in Technology
We design and review our systems—including AI features—for fairness, transparency, and cultural competence. We strive to reduce biases, clarify how automated features work, provide human review for sensitive decisions, and give users meaningful ways to appeal or request corrections.
Accessibility & Accommodation
We aim to meet or exceed accessibility best practices across our products and materials. If you need an accommodation or encounter a barrier, contact us; we will work in good faith to provide an accessible alternative or remedy.
Reporting & Resolution
If you believe our standards have been violated—or if you feel you have been treated unfairly—please report it. We investigate reports objectively and aim to respond promptly with clear next steps and outcomes where we are able to share them.
